Good evening everyone. I see we have the new site. Thanks for getting us moved Rhonda. I had another long day and keep successfully passed the M&Ms at work again. It is getting easier and easier to pass them as time goes by..

I need to find ideas to take for my L&G meal when I have class. Salad with shredded chicken is starting to get old. Maybe tomorrow I will look at recipes for ideas..

Since we're bombing the sugary stuff, what is your new Medifast go-to sweet snack?.

Mine is chocolate chip pancakes. They are sooo delicious! If you haven't tried the Walden Farms syrup, I recommend you go for it. I have several of the WF products and like them all...

Oh, to get the banner to work, you have to remove the spaces in the brackets..

To type a banner location/address, most people on this site add spaces inside the brackets so people can see the location/address rather than the image itself...

Yay! I also got the banner to work..

Deb - Congratulations on avoiding the evil M&M's! I'm not sure about L&G's for class. Hopefully, someone will have some ideas. So far, I've been able to eat everything from my home..

Well, allergies are kicking my butt! I just want to put my head down on my desk and doze for a while..

I need to try the cookie or granola recipe for the oatmeal. I'm just not getting used to that stuff! Anyone try this as a muffin? I'll also need to try that buffalo chicken recipe that everyone raves about..

I really do like the Dutch Chocolate Shake. I'm also a big fan of the chocolate chip pancakes, but I've never tried them with syrup. I'm very greedy with my condiments!.

Have a great on-plan day...

Hopefully it will be a relaxing day with time to peruse for recipes, I just wish it was warmer so I can get outside for a nice stroll. Rhonda hope your allergies let up soon.

Go-to sweets would have to be anything chocolate. Chocolate is the food of the gods! Milk chocolate, thank you very much. The mint chocolate bars are great, the smore bars are great, so are the peanut butter ones. Then there is the dutch chocolate shake. Also great. Do you see a recurring theme here?..

SJoseph - I have no idea about the pudding. I didn't get to try that in my variety pack this time..

Barb - Maybe you should see someone about that addiction of yours..

LOL.

Tomorrow is my official week #2 weigh-in. I'm anxious to see what number comes up. I'm do weigh daily, but despite watching my carbs, my condiments and staying 100% on-plan with my eating, I've not lost anything since Monday. I was doing some reading on the boards earlier today and some people say that their weight loss really picked up when they increased their water consumption. That is the one area I really struggle with. Some days, I'm only getting around 48 oz a day.

That is a lot of water! Anyways, fingers crossed that the number generator smiles for me tomorrow!..

- I tried the muffins and they are deeeelicious! But I think they are a binge trigger for me..

Absolutely worth a try, though..

Debbie.

- For your school night meal, try:.

Tuna salad (7 oz tuna, 1 tbsp mayo, dill relish) and fresh broccoli or cauliflower..

A "hamburger" (wrap a meat/veggie patty with a whole bunchof lettuce. throw in some dill slices and SF ketchup for a fast food flavor) Make kale chips for your green. Can also make a "bun" with a Medifast cream soup..

6 oz low fat cheese slices with celery and jicama sticks.

1.5 cups 1% cottage cheese with chopped cucumber Can add Crystal Lit if you prefer it sweet..

Barb.

- I love your fist pump..

Sjoseph.

- Pudding is one food I've not mastered. Mine is ALWAYS lumpy, never pudding-y. Blech!.

Yeah, Rhonda! *High fives all around* Jicama sticks, Jennifer? I'll have to give that a try. Just peel and slice, right? My goals for myself include trying a new vegetable or a new vegetable recipe each weekend. I have never been very adventurous with veggies. Surprisingly, most recipes I've tried are good..

Welcome, sj. Pudding I don't have any trouble with this food item. I use cold water that came out of a pitcher I keep in the refrigerator and shake it up in the Medifast shaker. It's reasonably firm in a minute or two. Then I scarf it down. I think about licking the sides of the shaker like a dog to get all the chocolate (have I mentioned that I favor chocolate? teehee!); but generally try to control myself and act in a civilized manner.

Especially if no one is looking...

NSV I was eating in a restaurant last night with my family. Two former coworkers who are best friends happened to come in to eat, too, and stopped by our table to say hi. One looked at me and said, "You've lost weight...wait...You've lost a lot weight!" And I'm sitting down with the table in front of me. So I said, "Yes, thanks, do you want to see?" And stood up and held open the lightweight jacket I was wearing over a Tshirt and hammed it up a bit like a model. They asked what I was doing to get these results..

Then I went to my weekly belly dance class and my instructor commented to me afterwards about how nice I look. When I dance I am wearing a unitard with a Tshirt over the top, so there is no disguising what you've got under there. I have known her a few years and have taken classes from her several times..

Thank you, MF. Thank you Medifast friends, for your support. (I know, two in one day. It's sooooooo cool.) It brings tears to my eyes thinking about it...

Hi everyone,.

I finally made it to the new thread. My mood has been improving greatly during the past few days. And today Im most proud to announce that.

I MADE IT TO ONEDERLAND!!!.

Ive wondered what this would be like my entire life. Its wonderful. Ive been having trouble with my mood and motivation lately but this reminds me I never want to see a "2" at the beginning of my weight again. This program is amazing and if you stick with it you can have success. Even when it seemS rougheven when you feel like giving upeven if you slippick yourself back up and get on plan. Lord knows if I can do ityou can too!!! Its funny as Im writing this post the shuffle on my iTunes started playing Dont Stop Believing from the Glee Soundtrack.

WE CAN DO IT!!!.

Sjoseph.

- For me the trick with the pudding is to use less than 4oz of very cold waterlike 2.5-3 oz maybe. Shake it until it mixes. It may be very thick after that then Ill just add a hair more water 1 spoonful at a time and stir until it gets to a pudding consistency I like. HTH! You can make it through the weekend. Just remember how well you did during the week. You dont want to undo all that hard work.

Rhonda.

- Congrats on -4lbs GONE FOREVER!!!Im not sure if I noticed significant changes in weight loss when I compare drinking lots of water vs. not. But I think that as the fat cells breakdown they need to be flushed out. The extra water helps that process. I drink 128oz a day. I have a 32 oz Nalgene bottle.

Its actually easier to do than you think especially if you make yourself drink 8oz before a meal and then 8-16oz with a meal. It also helps to keep you full..

Barb.

- Those are some WONDERFUL NSVs!!! It helps so much when others recognize our efforts especially because sometimes we cant see it in the mirror. I can only imagine how proud you must feel. Get used to it the praise will keep coming as you lose more weight. Im so jealous of you and your belly dancing class. Ive always wanted to take one but felt uncomfy at my current weight. One of my rewards when I get to 185lbs is to join a gym with belly dancing classes.WTG!!!.

QOTD.

: Honestly I dont get too many sugar cravings on MF. I feel like everything is sweet that I pretty much dont have any desire for anything else sweet. Although I do enjoy most of the chocolate products that have been mentioned (except for the peanut butter bars..eww). My problem is craving salty itemslol..

To order by the case you have to click on the title of the food right below the picture before you click at to cart. Then you can order a case, box or single. Cases of bars are 12 boxes. Cases of shakes come in like a zillion shakes so not really an option. I like being able to order a single serving to try things I am not sure I will like. I guess this is a new option..

Jennifer, Congrats to losing!!.

Deb, it seems like how often to weigh is a personal thing. Some weigh daily, some a couple times a week, some weekly or bi-weekly, some once a month. I weigh at the gym on Tuesdays. I don't have a scale in the house because I get so obsessive otherwise. I let the scale tell me if I'm a good person (when losing) or a bad person (gaining or staying the same). This is baloney! We are good people all the time.

Perhaps you could experiment to see what works the best for you..

SJoseph.

- How's the weekend going for you? I hope it's turning out to be easier than you expected..

Vanitystar.

- Congratulations on reaching Onederland!!! Girlfriend, save a seat for me on that train..

Goin4Goal.

- I would love to have a challenge. Any good suggestions? I could use a water challenge..

Jennifer.

- Congratulations on reaching your 40lb goal! I was looking on Kohl's website last evening as I think I'll be ready for my first bead on Friday. They are having a 55% off sale! Yippee! Also, Etsy has some pretty beads..

Deb.

- I think you should do a mini-week. The waiting for an extended week would drive me nutso..

I am one of those people weigh daily. I have some friends on another website who have lost over 100lbs and are maintaining their loses anywhere from 1 to 6 years. They all weigh daily and did this throughout their journey. Their reason? They could see the trends that their bodies followed and, therefore, weren't as discouraged when the scales went up. I like to weigh daily so that I know what to expect on my official weigh-in day. If I wait for a whole week and have nothing or have gained, I don't want to crash and burn.

Do what feels right to you..

I'm feeling better today. My ears don't hurt and my headache is gone. I'm still really stuffy and have a scratchy throat. I didn't get all of my meals in yesterday or my water. I hope to do better today. We're headed into downtown Atlanta today.

I'm so proud of that kid! I'm packing a couple of bars and taking my shaker with me. I usually like my shakes with ice in the blender, but necessity and all that..

Have a great on-plan day...

Afternoon Sugarbombs,.

Rhonda.

- I hear ya on the head cold thing. Im supposed to be on vacation from work this weekrelaxing and enjoying myself but instead Im sickboo. All my normal cold remedies dont seem to be working. I can barely taste anything so Im using this opportunity to eat all the Medifast foods Ive stashed that I cant standlol. I guess thats a silver lining right. Enjoy your trip to Atlanta and congrats on your childs award..

Jennifer.

-.

CONGRATS ON 41LBS GONE FOREVER!!!.

That is such a huge milestone. Youre heading towards the 50lb mark. Have you ever lost this much weight before? For me I could never break 35lbs so when I hit 36lbs it got a little scary but I was proud at the same timelots of mixed feelings. It sounds like you had a really nice relaxing day. Im glad you took the day to pamper yourself. Just curious what movies did you watch? I could use some chick flick inspiration..

Sjoseph.

- I hope youll check in with us soon so we know how the weekend is going. Keep trucking tomorrows your weigh in..

Barb.

- I know what you mean about feeling like the scale dictates how good or bad I am. Ive been on this plan for 8 months and Im still struggling with that. Im better now than at the beginning but it can be a struggle. We really have to evaluate our self worth on different parameters. Again something else Im having trouble with. Although honestly I couldnt live without a scale in the houselol.

As for G4Gs suggestion of a challengeIm all for it. Although Ive found for me in the past I get gung-ho about it in the beginning and then fall off. So I dont know how Id do with a long term challenge (meaning something until summer). But Im thinking shorter maybe a 6 week challenge could be good. Would we be striving for something individuallyor all members aiming for the same goal?.

Overall SugarbombsIve been doing well. But it's weird sometimes I feel like I cant trust myself almost like binging has become a habit and I dont have control over it. Im waiting thinking that one day Ill just binge again. Today makes one week since my last binge and part of me is fidgety that it could happen again today. Then I remind myself my head is not in the same place it was last week. Im not in a depressed self loathing moodtheres no reason to binge.

As a daily weigher I saw a fluctuation yesterday that put me at 200.2lbs. I freaked out for a minute thinking maybe Im fakerthat onederland didnt really happen and it never will. I stopped those thoughts in their tracks and reminded myself it's just a stupid fluctuation, just stay OP, and you be fine. Of course I was fine and todays weight was under 200 where it's supposed to be. I proud that Im in a space that I can talk myself off the ledge and I just have to remember that Im in control not food..

I hope everyone is having a good weekend. Happy OP Day..

- Glad you're feeling better. And congrats on having a awesome kid! Nothing better than feeling pride in your children, I think.

Ronnie.

- the girly movies I watched included Eat Pray Love, Sherrybaby, Gypsy, The Inn of the Sixth Happiness, and Love and Other Disasters. The Inn of the Sixth Happiness is one of my all time favorites, and I highly recommend it, if you can handle movies from the 50s. It's a girl strength, tear jerking, cultural learning experience movie..

As for the.

Challenge.

- I tend to get bored with them myself. And I like having a place to go that's just for support, with no failed expectations..

I have a question.....

When you want to eat something not OP what do you tell yourself?.

For me it's "Is it really worth eating for 3 days of just getting back in keotsis?".

Funny thing now in my dreams I take a bite of bread, cake or something off plan and spit it out. My subconscious must be getting into the game now too...

LOL. I totally misinterpreted that question. I thought you meant what was I telling myself to make me WANT to eat the item! The punchline - that's not really funny at all - is that I can much more easily tell you that answer, rather than what I say to STOP myself from eating it. I've only recently begun to develop meaningful verbiage to fight the destructive eat-everything voice..

Soooo.....

When you want to eat something not OP what do you tell yourself?.

I tell myself that I have a plan. A plan to lose weight. A plan to be thin, take less meds, be healthier, look prettier, wear cuter clothes, etc. That food is NOT part of my plan. I don't need to eat that. I can do without it.

I will follow my plan. If I am hungry, I will eat the (bar/pretzels/etc)..

I'm trying to develop a strategy that will work even after I reach goal. These statements are something I've needed for a long time. The only thing I used to say to myself is something like "You don't need that. You're fat and disgusting." Which only served to lower my self esteem and lead to more eating. duh, that was dumb!..

Hello fellow Sugar Bombs, sorry I didn't check in over the weekend. My daughter was doing her final touches on her silver award project and I was no where near a computer. Well the weekend actually went great! I stayed OP even when I went to a high school bull roast fund raiser. I was really worried that I might go off because the tickets we bought covered beer and food. I stayed OP all day of the event and had a chocolate crunch bar right before we left. It took the edge off being hungry so when I got there I only drank water and diet coke and had sliced turkey and beef.

I really appreciate everyone's supportive words. My first official weight-in is today. I did check the scale this morning and I was down 10lbs.

I'm supposed to be working. (shhhh) I'm sorry that I have no time for personals. I have way too much work to get through for just one day. Just wanted to say Hi. Head cold is still here. Cough kept me up last night.

Wonder how badly this will impact my fat loss for the week?.

I think back over all the times I've started another diet, only to throw in the towel after a couple of weeks. I remember how horrible that makes me feel and how long it takes me to build up the confidence to try again. I remind myself that I'm now 46 years old and I've wasted too much time. I envision myself in my goal outfit and how I'll be feeling. I envision myself running that marathon one day..

The more positive I am, the less I want something not OP. It doesn't interest me when I am feeling loved and appreciated. Now "loved and appreciated" is really something that only I can tell myself.

Family and friends can move, die, lose touch, etc., so I need to be the anchor in my life. Some days are easier than others, but loving me and accepting me is what I strive to do. I can love and care for the other people in my life best when I am whole...

Hello Bombers! After my week of spring break at home, I am back to normal life and that means back on the boards!.

I had lots of challenges this week, but I am happy with the way that I handled them and I'm motivated to keep going strong. I did do 4+2 most of the week so I could have dinner with my family and still have lunch with friends. It sounds goofy, but it's just what worked to keep me OP..

As far as the QOTD, I think "The pain of discipline or the pain of regret: it's your choice." It's been enough to get me through just about anything so far. I know the feeling of regret that I get every time I fall off of a program. It's terrible, and I don't want to feel it anymore..

Congrats to all of the losers this week and also to all of those with NSVs. We're all rocking this plan!..

Hello friends,.

When I have a thought about eating something OP I don't know if I ask myself a question as much as I tell myself it isn't worth it. At this point I am not willing to trade my losses for anything. Just isn't worth it when I am doing sooooo well. This really helps me pass right by all the crap and make the right choice. The crap will always be there in meetings, grocery check outlines etc. I will always have to decide that I am worth it and feeling and looking great isn't worth eating the crap...

Good morning, Friends! Welcome Michelle!.

Candiperfumegirl - Congratulations on reaching the 30lb loss mark!.

Jess - Welcome back to the thread. Sounds like your plan for dining with the family worked well..

I am on vacation next week, so this week is crazy busy with finalizing all of my reports, etc. We aren't going anywhere, but I hope to get a lot of spring cleaning accomplished..

I have a question of the day: What is your favorite L&G that you came up with?.

Have a great on-plan day...

Good day all!.

Today is a hard day. I feel down but I know it will pass and I will not let it cause me to go off plan..

I haven't come up with a really good L&G meal yet. I had a hamburger on portabella mushrooms which was pretty good but the mushrooms needed to be drier because it was messy. I am have just begun to start experimenting so in a month or too my answer will likely change..

- Congrats on 30lbs gone forever!!!.

Debbie.

- Sorry to hear that youre feeling down. Im hoping that it gets better soon. You sound like you have a good attitude despite it all and that youre committed to staying OP. Im not sure if you have access to a microwave on days that you go to class. When I work I have to have my L&G at work (because of 12.5hour shifts) and I usually just take whatever I would normally eat but in a microwaveable tray. If a microwave is not an option that I would definitely concur that some sort of tuna/chicken salad, burger, or even meatloaf would be good with assorted veggies on the side.

HTH!!!.

Michelle.

- Welcome to the group!!! Theres nothing wrong with daily weighing but dont freak out if you have a fluctuation or the scale doesnt move. Congrats on making it through day 3...thats usually the hardest periodso it should be smooth sailing from now..

Sjoseph.

= Fab weigh in!!! WTG!!!.

Jess.

- Welcome back. It sounds like you did an awesome job on your Spring break. Im proud of you..

Rhonda.

- It may be hectic now at work but just think this time next week youll be out of there and hopefully relaxinglol..

Jennifer.

- I have to be honest I have not heard of most of the movies you mentionedbut thats a good thing. I started looking some of them up on wikipedia. If I have a chance I might see if the library has any available..

QOTD.

: At the beginning of this process I used to be really good with positive talk. If I wanted something OP I would just ask myself What is more important cookies or getting to.

Insert weight here.

? That seemed to do the trick. But now it's getting harder and harder. I have been having emotional issues and sometimes getting to a lower weight isnt enough to keep me on track. I also remember though that Ive come a long waypeople notice how much Ive lostId be too embarrassed to gain in back in front of them..

My Update.

: Compared to how I felt a few weeks agomy mood is still pretty goodbut I did find some negative thoughts creeping back in. Im not sure if anyone has lost a lot of weight before. But I feel like Ive lost 80lbs total but I look the same. I can't see any changes when I look in the mirror. This summer Ill be seeing some family that has not seen me since last summer. Im afraid they wont notice any changes.

I just feel like my accomplishments wont be acknowledged. I dont know why it's important for me to get feedback from them but it is..

Well off to watch a DVD. Enjoy the rest of your night ladies..

Question of the day:.

What is your favorite L&G that you came up with?.

Hmmm... I think mine is taco salad. I use more spice than I probably should, but it is delicious! I split the lean between ground turkey and lowfat cheese, and top my lettuce with fresh salsa. yummm!.

I also really like the Morningstar veggie burgers. They taste like chicken fried steak to me. Throw some green beans or cauliflower on the side, and I'm enjoying life..

Deb.

- sorry you're not having a good day..

I've been there too. Get through the night and hope for a better day tomorrow..

Ronnie.

- I know how you feel about looking the same. Judging by clothing size, I don't feel i've made much progress... mostly because I was stuffing myself into clothes that were too small. When I look at myself, I can't see much of a difference - I just see fat. But you - you're in Onederland now! Surely you can tell there's been a change somewhere???..

Vanity some families are more supportive than others. If yours is good about it, all righty then, but if they are not you may be setting yourself up for disappointment. In my case, I'll go to my grave with very little approval from my family of origin. I have to grapple with that fact and accept it. I have to find approval from within myself instead..

Favorite L&G - we buy grass fed meat so I don't buy many prepared items from the store. Eating so many vegetables is a really new thing for me. Most meats prepared with some garlic and sea salt taste great to me. Grilling is also excellent. I'm very thankful for the cauliflower pizza receipe. I'd feel really ripped off if I thought I would never tasted pizza again...

Good morning all, hope everyone is having a good week so far. Still staying OP in the second week. I went for a 2 mile walk yesterday, heading to Disney in a month and need to get the legs ready. I also do water jogging twice a week. The nice part about exercising is that it keeps my mind off of food. I don't know why this time (with this diet) that food is in my thoughts constantly, especially thoughts of what I am not eating.

Does anyone else have this problem? I am hoping it goes away after being on the plan for a longer period of time..

Vanitystar.

- Don't sell yourself short, you have done amazing with yourself. To lose 70lbs is nothing to sneeze at. If you don't see it in your image, how are you feeling? I can't wait until I lose enough weight that my feet stop hurting after standing to long and my ankles quit swelling in the afternoon. I am also one that seems to need validation from the outside, someone to tell me that I have done a good job and after years of thinking this way I am working on changing that. I tell myself everyday that I am doing great and keep up the good work. Keep the positive thoughts going and keep strong..

Debj527 - I hope your day got better.

Since I am new to the plan, I am still trying to find a good L&G meal. Most of the time it is either a grill chicken salad or a lean steak with broccoli. I have to start venturing out or this is going to get old soon. I am hoping to find some good recipes here on this site...

Hi Sugar Bombs!.

Deb - So sorry to hear that you were having a tough day. Please send me a message if you need a sounding board. I hope today is much brighter for you..

Ronnie - I've never lost a lot of weight. Ever. But, I understand where you are coming from. Everyone wants family to be proud of them. I recommend playing the scenario through your head with various outcomes and visualizing yourself responding to each. Decide for yourself how you want to handle each one The brain really is very intricate and mysterious.

This kinda helps you reprogram..

In answer to my own question...I love my glazed, broiled salmon with green beans. My tastes have changed so much that I don't even need any condiments on my green beans. I glaze the salmon with 1 tbs of sugarfree pancake syrup, 1 tsp of mustard and 1 tsp of low-sodium soy sauce then I put it under the broiler. Yummo! I steam the green beans in the microwave..

Today is another heavy workday. I was hoping to start Zumba tonight, but it will have to wait until I get through this pile. Anyone take Zumba? I've heard that it's a blast. I've always loved to dance and this will be my chance to shake my groove thang again. LOL..

Hi everyone!.

Sjoseph.

- I find that more time on the diet leads to better immunity to cravings. I also find that it leads to stronger cravings! Therefore, it's still a struggle. To get through it, I push the thoughts from my head and replace them with thoughts of my next Medifast meal. Barb had a great suggestion about using positive affirmations. If it's emotional hunger, that could help..

Rhonda.

- your salmon combo sounds deeelicious! Im gonna have to try that. I love zumba! I have a sample video on my page. It's very energetic and fun! I bought it for the Wii Fit, but I would recommend a class or people video first...

I'd like to think there are no nutjobs on the Medifast site, but who knows? At any rate, I received at least a dozen tops, 4 pr pants, 3 jackets, a dress with a matching long vest and a skirt. Good Morning Sugar Bombs,.

Well it is raining again on the east coast and cold. Can spring please stay around for more than a day. Glad to see so many people having a good week and staying OP..

Debj527.

- congrats for staying on plan.

When you are not feeling 100%. I know when I am feeling down I head straight for the food, so congrats for being strong..

Jennifer.

- I bought Zumba for the WII and am having a difficult time getting the steps. When I go through the instruction part of the game, as soon as I start getting the steps, it speeds up through the instruction and I miss the rest of it. I tried just running the dances (without the instruction) and find it difficult to figure out the moves during the dance. I also find it is hard on the knees (lots of twisting). I have put it aside for now..

Question for the group - What is your favorite exercise (i.e. work out tape, WII game, class, etc...)?.

Mine are the Leslie Samson walking videos. She is very motivational and you can walk 2-3 miles in your house at a great pace and get a total body workout. I love to do these in the winter, when it is raining, or when I don't have a lot of time to workout..

Have a great day.

Good morning all..

Looks like everyone is busy including me. Last 4 weeks left of classes now so it will be a hectic month. It is finally starting to warm up here but there has been mention of the dreaded s word (snow) could still not be done. I am beginning to think some of the bigger piles might be here until July..

I am glad you are talking about Zumba for wii, I was debating buying it but think I might wait awhile. Nice to hear some good and bads..

Question What is your favorite exercise? Hiking but since we have 6 months of winter that is only good 6 months. I do like the Firm's Basic tapes. I like the mix of aerobic and weight training and they are pretty much low impact. But I just got Just Dance 2 for Wii and have been doing that. It will take awhile to catch on to the moves but so far is fun...

Hi Sugar Bombs,.

Thanks everyone for your support and feedback about seeing my family this summer. I do see and feel some changes in my body but I dont feel like it's enough. I still keep focusing on what needs to be done. Then I feel like I dont know if everything will get where I want it to be by my goal weight which would mean that maybe I have to lose more. Its a spiraling of thoughts. In any case I guess Im also afraid of failing yet another diet program in front of my family who has seen me struggle with my weight all of my life.

Kewlchick.

- Congrats on the great loss!!! Keep up the great work!.

Barb.

- I think you hit the nail on the head when it comes to positive feedback from my family. Generally they havent been all that positive throughout my life but for some reason I still want to hear them tell me I look good. I know it has to come from within as well and Im working on that. Im definitely taking Rhondas advice and thinking of how I would handle a multitude of responses from them. Good to hear that you had a great experience on the clothing exchange. Id thought of going there but Im too lazy to work out an arrangementlol..

Debbie.

- Glad to hear that you stayed OP even if your heart wasnt in it. That shows how committed you are to this plan. Great work!!!.

Sjoseph.

- Im not sure if the thoughts ever go away completely but I do feel like some days are better than others. What I have noticed is that when I eat OP foods that I like and have a satisfying L&G I dont think about other foods that much if that makes sense. To make my L&G satisfying I try to vary what I eat a lot. Over time I start craving or thinking about the OP foods I want to eat. I may only think of off plan foods if Im in an emotional funk or sometimes if I walk by it in street/supermarket..

QOTDs.

:.

#1..

My fav L&G is actually salmon also. I like to use different types of Mrs. Dash, usually Fiesta Lime or Caribbean Citrus, plus some extra black pepper. Then I pop the salmon on my George Foreman grill. I like to eat this with either a salad (spinach, tomato, cucumber + homemade vinaigrette) or steamed green beans or asparagus..

#2..

As for exercise I actually hate it and I havent done any since I started the program..

But during the past week Ive felt like exercisingstill havent done anything yet but Im starting to feel motivated. In any case I used to like doing the Firm a lotalso anything with some kind of dance. In the 90s there were a series of exercise videos called the Grind that I liked also (but I dont think they are a very intense workout.) I feel like I should get back into exercise but Im afraid to have a stall or a weight gain that usually happens when you first get back into exercising. I know lame excuselol.

Have a Happy OP Day All...

Exercise? I used to run 5 miles a day. I miss it so much. Like Kristen, I plan on beginning C25K when I get a big chunk of weight gone. I don't think my knees could take the stress with this weight of mine. Right now, I'm not exercising at all, but I do plan on trying out that Zumba class with my friend. Sugarbombs...I have a confession. I havent been the best MFer I've only had 4 Medifast meals on Thursday/Friday and I ate extra protein/some trigger foods (cheese). Its hard for me to say this here although Ive written about it in my blogbut I have some trouble with binge eating. I did not have this problem before Medifast though. I overate but it was always public and unhealthy foods of course. However in the past few monthsactually since the start of the new year Ive been having these episodes of binging on exorbitant amounts of food uncontrollably.

I know Ive been using it as a coping skill. Its been 13 days since my last binge but I feel the stirrings coming back. Im afraid that I might binge soon and I cant control it. I dont know if anyone else has this issue. But I feel like once my mind is made up I almost go into autopilotand before I know it the binge is over.

I dont know where Im going with this. I just needed to get it out there. Thank you for reading..

Well I hope everyone has a good OP day..

Ronnie.... I don't have experience with the binging you are talking about. Before Medifast I would eat unhealthy stuff and too much of it. Sometimes the strict control will set some people off to another extreme. Have you tried the support boards? Do you have a friend you can call when you feel that urge? Are you exercising and your body needs more calories than it you are giving it? Your mind is probably fighting the new you and you might need to talk to someone who can help. I look how far you've come and at least you keep coming back when the binge is done.

- This is the first time I've felt so hopeful and confident, too. Congratulations on your wonderful loss for you first month!.

Today, Hubby and I will be putting down some cow poo and mulch on the flower beds. Don't you envy me?.

I probably will be vey sore tonight..

Have a great on-plan day...

Hi Sugar Bombs!.

I measured yesterday. I've lost an inch off the waist, an inch off the butt and an inch of the thighs. I have probably lost more inches in places that I don't really measure as my clothes are fitting much more nicely..

Today, I need to finish pressure washing the front deck and do some housecleaning. I have probably 3 weeks of work to do in 1 week! LOLHave a great on-plan day...

OK, it's Monday and I am bored at work. This is usually my hardest time not to just eat crap because I am bored. The time is going by so slowly and work is not fun right now. I am staying OP but it is a struggle today. I think the thing that has me strong is that my WI is tonight..

Rhonda.

- Nice job on the 1". I haven't started measuring myself but I should (just need to find that tape measure.

) Also, if you run out of things to do on your vayca, I can use work around my house.

Kirsten.

- Happy 1 Month Anniversary. 33lbs in 1 month is amazing. I hope to see that for myself in a few weeks. Does it get better when you have been OP for multiple weeks?.

Since we haven't had a Question of the Day for a while, here is one:.

What seasonings do you add to Medifast foods to make them taste better? For me I add a little sea salt to the eggs and it makes them taste great..

Have a great OP week Sugar Bombs.

Susan..

Hiya Sugar Bombs!.

I'm new to this board but am wrapping up my 5th week on Medifast (official WI is tomorrow AM). A little about me ... just turned 4.

In January and hit an emotional low when I stepped on the scale and it mocked me with an.

Err.

Message (and the scale goes to 380!) This after swearing to myself when I turned 39 last year that I would not weigh over 300 when I turned 4.

!.

I'm happy to say that after the past 5 weeks I'm gaining my confidence back and people are starting to notice the difference! (Especially today since I have to keep hiking up my pants that a month ago were snug!.

).

I have enjoyed reading all the posts here and would love to join the group (and just so you know if you say no to my request I'll just lurk anyway - so please let me join the fun so I don't have to be a stalker!)..

Evening all..

Susan... Get staying OP with the being bored at work. Having a WI tonight is a good incentive to not stray. Hope you had a good weekend..

Jen....Welcome. Your off to a great start. I know that ERR message on the scale. Nothing to get you going when you have to get a bigger scale. I had the same goal when I turned 40 but never got there now I am determined when I turn 50 in just over a year and this time I will do it. Glad to see you starting now if your just one year off (41 rather than 40) it will still be good..

Question of the day...I try not to add too much to the foods. (I tend to be skimpy on my condiments for things I really want to use them on. (example for cauliflower pizza, or taco salad.) Only thing I have really done is some flavor drops for vanilla shakes occasionally...

You guys are sooo awesome! Productive and getting skinnier by the day. Kudos!.

QOTD: I add mostly sea salt and/or garlic powder to my foods. I wonder if the garlic will help keep the mosquitoes away this summer? Haven't seen any vampires, either.....

And Jen...I'm not sure if I would be very nice to any scale that gave me an ERR message. It reminds me of the cartoon of the woman dressed in a bathrobe and curlers standing on her scale, pointing a loaded handgun at the scale. Just a thought. ;]..

Welcome Jen!.

QOTD:.

What seasonings do you add to Medifast foods to make them taste better?.

I don't usually add anything to Medifast foods, but I *do* add Crystal Light to Medifast drinks, like strawberry shakes or the cranberry mango drink. I'll basically double the liquid, so the drink lasts longer. My favorite Crystal Light flavor to add is tropical punch...

Good morning, Sugar Bombs!.

Sjoseph.

- Boredom is a trigger for me to go off-plan, too. I hope you made it through the day okay yesterday..

Woohooette.

- Welcome to the group, my friend!.

Deb - Congratulations on a wonderful weigh-in!.

Today, spring cleaning continues for me. Yesterday, all I heard from my youngest daughter and her friend was "I'm bored. What can we do?" Ugh! I had tons for them to do, but they didn't want to do any of it. They wanted something "fun." Doesn't getting a clean house qualify as fun?.

Have a great on-plan day...

Well I made it through yesterday, thanks everyone for your encouragement. It really helps when you are struggling through a day. Something about Mondays and work just don't go well together. I was able to stay OP, luckily there isn't a vending machine at my office that would tempt me. So I stayed the course. Had my WI yesterday and am down 2.5lbs for the week.

Looking forward to the day I can fit into my next smaller jeans. Welcome to the new members and stay the course..
