My first question is Fast and efficient Nutrisystem diet? Thanks in advance for any answer or 2. Another question... I started one week ago. I posted a thread when I first started about having some trouble adjusting to a new schedule of eating. In the mornings, I am not hungry at all, but I am forcing myself to eat according to the plan. In the evenings, however, I am freaking right the hell out. |

I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the answer to that question. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I discover an answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably know..

I started the plan almost a week ago...............I am the same way.......not hungry in the morning and have to gag it down..
This is what I do. I start my eating later in the day. My last food might be eaten at midnight. Then I don't go to bed hungry. I have been told in the past by my doctor that it doesn't matter what time you eat it is what you eat.. Good luck to you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.. |

Earthdaddy: We all need to eat each meal to fuel our internal fat burners but you can shift around your food groups to meet your needs. I have always saved a dairy serving until night so I can have a yogurt. After eating it the hunger is usually gone for the rest of the night. On those nights that I'm still hungry I eat more salad and keep drinking water..
The good part about going to bed hungry is that I know that I'm losing weight. If you follow the plan your goal will be achieved. Good luck... |

I don't necessarily agree with this.. but I'm not a dietician/doctor whatsoever so take me with a grain of salt. However, I think you should always eat breakfast at least within the first 2 hours of waking up to get the metabolism engine up and running and then space out those meals regularly to keep that engine going. If you wait longer in the mornings and even between meals throughout the day (more than 3 hours), the metabolism will slow down causing the storage of fat. But of course, I do agree with WHAT you eat makes a difference.. and starting Nutrisystem is the great way to get healthier with appropriate add-ins..
Edit: I was also the same in the mornings. I just couldn't eat the breakfasts because I rarely ate breakfast before NS. However, after about a month or so of forcing the food down in the mornings, I got used to it and now has become my favorite meal... |

Glad to see you posting again Tom. Your insights have always been very helpful to me..
Earthdaddy: I save my carb and fat from Dinner and have a Peanut Butter and Smuckers sugar-free jam sammich as a 7th meal. It's a stick-to-your-ribs snack that will carry you off to bed. Many times nighttime hunger is really thirst (our bodies get confused sometimes) so have a sammich and drink a butt load of water and something magical happens. I'm no longer hungry.. I mentioned this nighttime hunger once and the response I got from Dean_Wormer was to get my ass off the couch, turn the TV off and occupy your mind with something constructive. Sometimes I take a walk... |

Has anyone seen Dean around here lately?.
I recall he said he was interviewing for a job in Europe, back before I went on vacation December and I wonder if he got it? Haven't seen him lately... |

Mobay45 would have that info, but I think he, and Jazzybelle have gone to the Islands for some R&R for a couple of weeks...

You can eat the food anytime you want to. The important thing is that you eat all the food and add ins everyday. In other words, Nutriflakes aren't just for breakfast anymore !..

I'll have my breakfast entre as soon as I get into school (about 7). Then a fruit and lunch entre for lunch (about 1). When I get home I eat salad and then spread everything out as needed...

Nudoug, you might need to slide in one of your snacks around 10 or 11. you are waiting quite awhile...

I'd like to, but I can't. I teach from 8:30 straight onto 1:00. I just picked up some small whey shakes, about 100 cal with about 17 gr protein. I think that I'll down one between classes at about 11:30. That should count for a milk/protein...

The counselor i've talked to recently mentioned not going over 4 hours between your meals. I also asked about moving my servings and she said that is fine. For today I used my breakfast protein at lunch and added 2oz of shrimp to my salad. Another time I've saved both of my proteins and carbs and used my fat from dinner to make myself a tuna fish sandwich. Which I ate with some Nutrisystem cheese puffs for my dessert serving. I eat something every time I was supposed to and used all of my recommended servings, not going over, for the day...

I am new and have no golden answers, but I eat about once an hour breakfast cereal or whatever entree first thing, than I tend to mix snacks, fruit, some dairy and the lunch, throughout the day, the only meal I eat with more than one item in it is dinner. I am like a god damn rabbit, who'd of guessed, from 2 meals to like 10. I had a GF like that once, drove me nuts always eating like that.. She did have a smokin bod though!.
I am a night eater, I also save my dairy / yogurt and eat it around 9 with my desert...... That has curbed my late night eating!!. I am not a morning eater that is why I have to spread out my food. Its too much to eat first thing, unless it is sunday morning and breakfast starts at 9 or 10.. |
|
Ok, I've decided to quit trying to eat all of the breakfast stuff at once, which is hard for me to manage to choke down anyway. I started this morning with only the breakfast entree, and am going to pace the rest of it out throughout the day. The entree should be enough to get my metabolism working, and spreading the rest of the food out will hopefully help later in the day and evening...

Earthdaddy, what I do is eat the breakfast entree and the fruit serving and save the protein and carb along with my carb from dinner and make a sandwich either tuna or lowfat luncheon meat (pastrami)..
Like the others have said, try spacing your food out, or you could also switch them around. Eat your snack for breakfast and your breakfast for your snack. Just as long as you eat all your foods for the day.. |

The apple and choco chip scones are great. You get two wedges per pack, and you can split them up...
