That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the right answer. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I bump into an useful answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably could answer your Medifast question..

Hi Angelica! I guess I'm the second to post. I hope and pray that everyone is well. These weather-related events have me wondering if these truly are signs that the end is near..

I am down to 169.5lbs. (I won't scream victory until next week.....hate the halves!).

Comments like "I really wish I knew what you put into your mouth on a daily basis" doesn't help..

I actually went on Medifast not because of a portion control issue, but because I wanted confirmation that portion control was not the issue. I think I have successfully done that..

Kelly- I never want to speak for anyone but when I went back to read what you were referring to - I really don't think she was referring to portions either. You mentioned salt and I know some others were working with condiment issues the past couple of months. I think it more of trying to help you solve the puzzle. Wishing you positive mojo on the scale!..

I am very frustrated with the Biggest Loser Contest at work I need to lose 9 by Monday to beat someone who weighed in today at 110. Everyone was sure I would win. She won both pots, since showing a 9 pound loss by Monday seems unlikely - although I plan an extra stay in the sauna at the gym this weekend. I already had plans for the $350 bucks!..

Hi Kelly, I'm so sorry if you took what I said the wrong way, like Karan said, I was just trying to help you figure out why the scale is moving so slow for you. I guess all of us in here have been wondering the same ... if we only knew what you are eating or how you are preparing your foods, maybe we could have helped you accelerate your weight loss. I know how frustrating that can be. You can ask Kim about that, because we did this program together before and she lost the weight so fast ... But I didn't ...



I just noticed that you've removed your picture from your avatar and wished us all good luck in our Medifast journey ... I'm sorry and sad to hear you have decided to leave us. We are here to cheer each other up and help each other to reach our goals. I just wish I could have done more to help you. Please don't leave because of that! I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. Hey, I'm sorry to disappoint you, but since my dear friend Kim has restarted this program and it took her 3 weeks to lose 9 lbs, I find it very hard for you to lose it in 2 days ... it's not impossible, but just too hard ... What were you going to do with those USD350.00 dollars!?! Please tell us all about it ... Now I'm curious ... LOL.

192.7 down 2.9 this week..

I've passed 80lbs all the way to 81.5. The number of verses in The Tao. Love that :-).

Janine... I have the first iPad... worth buying the iPad2? Man, I wish Medifast would come up with an app..

Karan~ Good luck, sweat that weight off... do you weigh in at work or home? $350 is enough money for me to spend extra time on the treadmill and in the sauna! Love the iPad2, still setting it all up, but DS came home from college this weekend and will help me, lol. It's so light and thin, unbelievable technology!! Going to love carrying it instead of a laptop to work everywhere!.

Lisa~ 80#!!! 32# to go, you are well on your way to goal. Stay OP and you'll be there before you know it!! DH has the first iPad. It depends on what applications you are using it for, 2 is lighter, faster and has a camera... these were important for me to have so I waited, but I don't think that it's worth going out and buying if you don't need them, or your a tech groupie.

Angelica~ I don't think that Kelly is going to leave us, she was just expressing her feelings about her need of support. Glad that you are able to stay in the house you love so. Are you getting all your water in and staying OP? Glad that you are back with us and checking in regularly..

We're taking off this next week for Mexico, I'm starting to put together my food list. It's a little difficult; we get off the plane, drop our luggage and rush to a panga to head out to an island for the night.. good friends have set up an overnight turtle tagging expedition for us. It's a 24 hr process and I'll be on a boat or on the beach. No refrigeration, power or anything. Meals over a fire, sleeping in a tent, just hoping for fish for b'fast, lunch & dinner!!! I'll take bars as usual and hopefully they'll have plenty of water instead of tequila, but knowing this group it'll be tequila.

Should be a great experience for my boys.. when I was their age I was banding eagles and owls with this group of friends. Hope to track the whales as well.. we'll see what the plan is. Anyway, we're there for a week and it's all very low key and non-commercial. This is an old boyfriend/fiance that we visit, he has a large home with 4 casitas and we stay in a couple of the casitas on the beach.

Anyway I'm glad that they'll get to spend time with uncle Rick. My DH likes him to, which is a good thing. Anyway what this all gets down to, I'm glad that I didn't know he was going to be there until yesterday and I'm uber glad that I've lost 80 pounds.. you understand I'm sure..

Leaving on a vacation with DH and DS ... we'll be in California, just driving up the coast to Santa Barbara, Solvang, Saint Simeon, The Hurst Castle, Carmel, etc. We went down to Sand Diego last weekend. It was just beautiful!!! I'll be able to read the posts on my iPhone, but hate to type on it, it's too small for me, if you know what I mean. I'll be getting the iPad2 when I get back. I don't like to wait in line for anything..

Karan... just go outside and walk around. Austin's weather today feels like a sauna a little today :-).

Went shopping with DH today and I'm still overwhelmed that I can wear "large" in some things. I don't remember when I wore a large..

I'll be off for over a week, too. Taking my family to Sedona. Love that area (although love the canyon area more). Going to go hiking, take them to the grand canyon and actually show them my fabulous "tree". Over a year ago, I took a trip to Sedona by myself when I was going through a tough time at work and sad about my weight, wondering why I was put on this earth, etc. I was sitting by a creek and just asking for help from my angels.

I just sat for an hour touching it and looking up at the heavens at it. I truly felt it was a sign from God to give me strength, to let me know I can get through anything and to let me know everything would be all right. I believe that tree and that moment in the forest was what helped propel me to lose weight, to let go of worries (as much as I can anyway) and to become a happier person. Whenever I feel weak or scared about anything, I often think of that tree and that symbol..

Long story about why I can't wait to go to Sedona... sorry :-) In many ways, you all are that "tree" to me, too..

I'm toying with not watching the scales for a month when I get back and just focusing on being OP. Anyone ever done that? Still not sure..

For anyone traveling next week, safe and happy journeys. For those sticking close to home, safe and happy journeys in your lives, too. Whether going away or staying close to home, it's all a journey :-).

Hi everybody:.

So I posted this earlier and then discovered just now I posted onto the February thread! I promise to get better at this. I will post this now but scroll down to my next post where I think I can pick up anyone who posted on March thread that I may have missed!.

I did my best trying to do Angelica's amazing job! I'm not sure she did the spread sheet last week - at least I couldn't find it. So I filled in with the numbers from March 4 that I could find and then added in the numbers from yesterday (and today's) weigh-ins for folks who were able to get to their computer. People are hanging in and doing a good job. I find it especially funny that several of you still write your weight beginning with the numeral 2 when plainly you didn't gain 100 pounds in a week!! Old habits die hard! But I put the right number in the chart!.

I am going to post the chart now so I don't lose it and then write a longer post later today or tonight. I was up and down this week in terms of weight. So happy I got a whoosh at the end to go down 1.8 from last week. I am sometimes "weigh" too tied to the number on the scale in terms of being a daily weigher but I am trying to learn to deal with my emotions (as tied to the numbers) in a more level way..

Happy Lisa, what a beautiful post. I have hugged many trees in my life. I have also planted many trees in my life. I just love them! I think they are so powerful and yet they transmit such peace and serenity. I also feel their strength ... thank you for comparing us to a tree! Lisa my friend, regarding not weighing for a month, I think it's very dangerous ...

It would be like being in denial for me ... so if I slip I wouldn't see the difference/damage and no one would know about it either, and then I would be too embarrassed to come back, if you know what I mean!?!.

I'm so glad and feel so blessed to have started this group in here ... you are all my Angels!.

I think Angel is flying over some clouds again ... Kim (mom2) and Joanne are not in the mood to weigh in and report their weight on a regular basis, and my friend Kim haven't replied yet. So, once we hear from them, we can always add them back to our chart. Otherwise we'll have a bunch of names with empty dots ... and we won't put any pressure on those who don't want to face the scale on a weekly basis, right!?!.

We did some "Spring Cleaning" today. Want to enter the Spring with my house in order ....

By the way, have you girls changed the clocks around the house yet ... Remember that we "Spring Forward" 1 hour (actually, we did it an hour ago) ....

Angelica~ I would feel more comfortable putting Joanne and Kim on the list but listing their last posted weight. I'm sure that they will be back to check on the group but may be feeling that they don't want to post their weight for one reason or another, but at least they will see their name and it will be more welcoming to them when they do come back..

Janine I hear you and see your point! I just didn't want to add more stress or pressure on them. Let's ask them what they would prefer: to see their names in our chart with blanks or add their names with their current numbers once they come back?! I have no problem adding their names to the chart. I just thought it would put more pressure on them, that's all..

I just talked to Kim, tuthclnr, and I will update our chart later (I can't do it from my iPad), and will add Kim (mom2) and Joanne's names back, unless they ask us to be removed until they decide to return and recommit to report on a weekly basis..

My prayers are with the Japanese people! Hope their Nuclear Reactors cool and settle down and they can focus on healing from their losses...

So much going on ..

I had a hard two weeks and not always on plan (too much Medifast food) but I finally got a whoosh. Feel better and more focused..

So many doing so well on mf. Vilma, you inspire me with all you do! Janine, you always rock this program and hold us accountable. I appreciate that because it is clear that you do the program right even when you travel and go off on exotic and wonderful vacations in Mexico. Sounds great!!.

Karan, you may not get the $$$ right now but you are getting the better health, the learning to live healthy and looking good. Contests come and go, you are here to stay!.

Kelly, sure want to hear from you. Hope things are going okay. We all have ups and downs (at least I do) so I try to keep focused on the long view!!.

And HappyLisa, Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon are wonderful. Your tree story was so touching and I do believe that God presents us with lessons in so many forms. You had your teachable moment and it was transformational. That is so great. You even passed me by this week! Good for you but I will be chasing you from behind now. And much as I have to keep balanced being a daily weigher I need the accountability but I have read others that leave the scale behind so who knows? Everyone is different..

Angelica Hope you and family have a great time. My favorite town in that journey is Cambria two sides to the town. Fun, nice restaurants and little shops. Very cute. And thanks for reviewing the chart and changing order. I forgot that (maybe cuz HappyLisa passed me up??? Lol).

Kim glad we heard from you. Hope things improve..

WOW!!! Lots going on while I was gone....

Don't have time to respond to everyone's post... but wanted to check in..

Well I made it to my in-laws safe and sound. Been staying OP, but am finding that it's harder than I thought while traveling. Im not too tempted to go off plan, but finding places to eat near the freeway thats not fast food is almost impossible!! Also, everything seems to have a very high sodium content- so much I can actually taste it! Other than those few obstacles, Im doing well.

Kim- I'm so glad to hear from you! Sorry you're having such a hard and stressful time....

Afternoon Ladies....

OK, I'm officially sick and tired of the snow. We've gotten another 6" of mucky slush this afternoon... yuck. Perfect day to lay low and turn up the heat and watch "Romancing the Stone" on netflix..

Angelica and Jan~ thanks for putting this weeks update together!.

Lisa~ oh so happy that you are made it to your folks place safe and sound. You are absolutely right about the fast food. You can get a baked or grilled chicken burger and take the bun and sauces away and a salad w/o cheese, croutons or onions. If you go out to a Red Robin they offer a salmon, turkey or burger wrapped in lettuce, that's what I had today for my L&G. It's the seeing and smelling all the other foods at the table that hits you hard. Have the greatest time with family! When will you be coming home?.

Jan~ Remind me how old your son is? Make a goal this week of staying 100% on plan and post every day what your results are, would that help you to be accountable to us here?.

Lisa18~ woot, woot.... great NSV... isn't it great to shop in the 'real' section of the stores. Did you find anything you couldn't live without? Tell us all! Have a great time on holiday... I love Sedona.. it's such a beautiful place (and a great place to shop too).



Angelica~ Have a great time in Carmel.. 4 generations of our family have been going there for holidays and anniversaries. It's our favorite place in Calif! Enjoy!!!.

Jan, thank you so much! Great posting!!! You are funny, my girl!.

Lisa, my friend, I was missing you! I know what you mean. Today we were on the road and my sister had a craving for KFC ... and I had some with her. I think they have improved the recipe ... it's so good and filling. But I told her that I cannot eat like that anymore.

I miss the salty stuff, like soups and the other stuff..

Anyway, the new Kim (tuthclnr) is a friend of mine who has lost a lot of weight on Medifast when we first met and now she is doing it again with us. She is going to be a great competition (in a good positive way) with Janine. Boy, those two can lose weight fast on this program, can't they!?!.

I have a funny story to share with you all, when I first met Kim she was doing a temp work at my new dentist's office and she mentioned to me that she was going to start Medifast. So I decided to join her. Then we called each other and decided to go to the movies together. When I was getting to the movies she called me and she said she was going to wait for me in front of the cinema. I got there and I didn't see her, so I called her and she said, "I'm here, sitting on a bench in front of the movies" ... LOL I just had walked by her and didn't recognize her ...

She got down to a size 6 or 4 or something like that ... man, I just couldn't do the program as good as she did ... and the funny thing was that we never went back to that dentist's office. LOL It was a once in a life time deal ... and we became friends since then, right Kim!?!.

Going to take a nap right now ... and then will go watch a nice movie with DH and DS..

Janine, My son is a senior in high school. Graduates in 3 months!!.

I like the idea of posting every day for a while at least to keep me on track. Have been doing better the last three days or so. For about a week I did great during the day and was struggling in late evening and eating bars. ugh. And I know it wasn't because I was hungry. Just wanted it.

I suspect that it is because I am getting so much affirmation that part of me is thinking "can't I be done now?" but I do want to lose more so thanks for keeping me focused on moving forward. I suspect without this group I might call "game" right now. Glad that I am not going to do that! Thanks for support and challenge!!..

Going to follow Janine's suggestion for awhile and check in with daily weight to help me deal with late night munchies. It helped last night. No munchies eaten because I knew I had to post weight this morning!.

Thursday: 196.2.

Lisa 18- Absolutely love Sedona spent my 10th Wedding anniversary there and visited the Hopi reservation..

Janine- I did an extra workout last night and hit the sauna. I hit 197 on the scale at work. Not mu official weigh in but I'll take it. I still didn't win the money but the contest did cause me to push harder..

We are heading to the coast on Wednesday. I am looking forward to running in the beach. I don't think I'll have access to a scale but I am meal planning...

Hey, Jan, I'm going to join you on this one ... I need to focus and stay 100% on my program too. Whenever I start getting closer to a specific goal weight I start sabotaging myself too! I won't be able to post everyday this week, because I'm leaving for my vacation tomorrow. Will be back next Saturday. I also have restarted Medifast at about the same time. And I have lost 71.2 so far ...

So my friend, you're not alone, we're going to do this together..

Karan~ It's those kind of days when I just want to work at McDonalds... all is well; one fired, one was being bid on by another store and decided to stay with us, 1 new hire and one maybe. We're gearing up for 2 new stores and have so much going on in the HR world.. want to come be my HR for a month.

Janine - sorry you are having staff issues. Always hard. But some of it is growing pains as you add more shops. In today's world, that is an amazing accomplishment. We are proud of you..

I was finally starting to exercise and feeling great about it. My goal wasn't to burn x amount of calories, walk x amount of miles, etc; my goal was to simply exercise each day. I was doing well up until yesterday. I unfortunately got hurt at work (again!) and am off my feet for a week. (I have a previous knee injury from a student who beat me black-and-blue in 2006. While I was attempting to stop a child from running and hitting others, I fell face-down on my knees.

Villa- so sorry that you were hurt. It sounds wise to back off exercise now. There will always be a next week to get that going again but you don't want to further injure yourself for sure. You certainly have a stressful job but I can only imagine your dedication to these kids. We are grateful for people like you!! And for you in particular. Rest well...

OP day today, burned 2247 calories (I have a body bug), walked 45 min, weights 5 min... very busy day with inventory and cleaning out the storage areas. Love the kind of day where you feel that you accomplished a boat load of work. Tomorrow will be more of the same, anxious to tackle the 3 pallets of inventory that came in this week. Love getting new things... this is stuff I bought 6 weeks ago in Atlanta and it's like Christmas...



Drink up ladies, look forward to hearing from you all tomorrow...

Janine ..to answer your question way back on Feb board...I am struggling with eating off plan foods. I am up 5.6 pounds..and am surprised that I am not up more...each day I say ok..today is the day..and sometimes make it sometimes only until supper. But I am not quitting or giving up...I still feel that I can and WILL do this!..Please keep me in your prayers! byw....Way to go on your losses!!!.

Angelica...thank you for your msg..hugs gf. I would very much like to be kept on the list...at least it still feels like I am wanted, needed missed etc ...if you know what I mean. You guys have become like family in a sense to me..we are all in this journey together...through our good patches and bad ones alike!.

Joanne~ Yes, join us in the daily accountability.. it REALLY, REALLY helps. Try it for the rest of the week. At some point everything changes and eating off plan is not an option because you know that at some point during the day you're going to have to tell us all about it. Please think about it Joanne! I was reading on a blog the other day about an MFer that was having a very slow season of weight loss... her #1 suggestion was to ofcourse hang in there and don't waver in your 5/1 meals, #2 was to count & measure everything and to cut out all condiments and snack..

She has lost 98 pounds and I have a great deal of admiration for her 'stick-to-it-ness'. Wrap your mind around it Joanne, you CAN DO IT!!!.

Lisa18~ iPad??? did you get a 2???.

Vilma~ I imagine when you have less to do your mind wanders to food... would this be a good time to read your Beck book.. he addresses so many of the issues that are you are going through..

Jan~ By golly I think you've got it girl... keep it up!!!! You are rockin'!!!!.

Spring is in the air and the flowers are blooming everywhere ... It's so beautiful over here, just gorgeous!!!.

We spent the whole day in Santa Barbara, visited a beautiful Mission and are spending the night in Solvang tonight. It's a beautiful Hotel (.

Tomorrow, we're heading north going to San Luis Obispo, Saint Simeon and the Hurst Castle. If we're not too tired, we may be going all the way up to Carmel. But we'll play it by ear and see how everybody feels ... I want to be back home by Saturday..

Joanne, I'm so glad to hear from you again. I got your private message and has already replied to it before reading the Forum. I'll post some of what I have already written to you with a few modifications for the forum..

Yes, I have been struggling for the last 2 weeks ... when I think I got it, life comes around, throws something heavy at me and knocks me down again. But I am back on the program and intend to stay with it until I reach my goal weight, do the transition and maintenance phases this time..

The last time I dropped the ball, I thought I was fixed and started cheating here and there ... then I totally lost control and gained almost everything back. I don't want to go back there anymore. It's too painful ....

I am going through a lot "emotionally" right now ... as you already know, my hubby got walking pneumonia and a bunch of other stuff is going in my life ... I just don't want to dump my problems on all of you in here (it wouldn't be fair to you all to worry about me). I also thought for a while that we would have to move out of our beautiful home, but fortunately, things worked out just fine ... but that's why I've started eating more than I should. I was going back to food for comfort ....

You know that from there to start eating the forbidden foods we're just a bite away, right!?! And then hell brakes loose and we become prisoners of that "insanity" ....

Regarding our chart, I just didn't want you nor Angel nor Kim to feel bad or embarrassed or anything like that. By the way, Janine, you were right again! And thanks for the tip! Also I'm glad things worked out for you and your staff, but as Jan said, they are the growing pains ... so hang in there and enjoy the ride!.

Joanne, I'm so glad that you're back with us! It's so nice hearing from you again!.

Regarding the changes I made on my food plan, Janine nailed it down in a nutshell! The first thing I did was:.

1.) Stick to the program~ 5/1 meals..

2.) Stop "doctoring" the Medifast meals: I used to add cheese, butter, salt, bullion, Splenda, etc to all my meals, and even Whipped Cream to my bars ... LOL and then I was wondering why the weight was not coming off ... duh!!!.

3.) I bought a "Gallon" bottle and fill it up every single day and don't go to bed until I have drunk the last drop. Fat does not evaporate ... either you burn it by exercising or you flush it out of your system by drinking lots of water and eating the right foods..

4.) I walk my doggies every single day. I really don't like exercising. Specially running ... can't stand it. So I walk..

5.) Last but not least, "Accountability"! For me, it is very important. If I don't do it, it's so easy for me to hide and do my own old stuff, "cheat", "cheat", "cheat" and "cheat" some more, if you know what I mean!?!.

So please, keep posting and remember, I'm here for you 24/7. Feel free to call me or e-mail me at anytime! I really mean it! (you already have my numbers, right!?).

Vilma, I'm sorry you got hurt again ... hope you have a fast recovery! They say that when we hurt ourselves it's our bodies telling us we need to slow down. Take this time to rest, smell the flowers, go within and heal inside out!.

1 Burger wrap for lunch with lettuce and tomatoes at 12:00.

1 Bar at 2:00.

1 Pkg of cheese flavor pretzels at 4:00.

1 Pkg of Parmesan Cheese Puffs at 6:00 p.m..

1 Gallon of water.

Walked and drove the whole day today! I'm very tired ... zzzzZZZZZZ Going to bed right now! Good night ladies!.

Just a quick shout out to Joanne. So good to hear from you. Glad you are ok..

In the first months of Medifast I told friends that the Medifast boards worked for me because our weekly weigh-ins were anonymous accountability. I liked that. But after all these months it doesn't feel anonymous anymore. My accountability is more specific and special as I am accountable to myself, (to God) and to each of you. And right now that feels good. So I'm going to try and keep posting daily weight knowing I have ups and downs.

And you all help. Happy if anyone wants to join me but I know some folks don't weigh every day. So do what works best for you..

It's my birthday!!!!.

Did I tell you about the other night? It was girls night out and there was plenty of 'sludge' being passed around.. a couple of the ladies hadn't seen the new me in 6 months, they were shocked, actually they were dumbfounded and wouldn't stop making comments.. all positive. Anyway, one gal was saying that it was so difficult as a woman to lose weight because you really had to be selfish... she didn't mean it in a negative way, just a fact. And she's right, we have to think about ourselves..

US. And I realized that I am the gift that I gave myself this birthday... 81 pounds down. That's a big gift of life.....

I only have a few minutes as I have to go to work...but I am so glad I made the time to get on here this afternoon rather than after work at 10 tonight!! All your comments just strengthened my resolve!!.

So...Daily Accountabillity:.

Weight:268.8...(up a few more than last I weighed) I thought about not posting it until I lost a few of them...but that would only make it easier for me to not stay OP today..and I plan on being OP DAY ! today..

Today I have had a Hot Cocoa, Choc Shake, Garden salad with 2T of Rasp vinagerette, 5 oz of lean ground beef, 1 T ketchup. There was 1 egg in the meatloaf which yeilded 3 servings, there is bread crumbs as wel. I guess I need to own up to the fact that bread crumbs and the ketchup are no no's that I have been allowing myself. I will have another choc shake and hot cocoa and prob the last meal choice will be a brownie..

Angelica..thank you for your very touching and heartfelt pm to me. I cried when I read it, thank you and I will pm you back, but prob won't be until I get home tonight if I| am not too tired. You truly reached out and touched my heart. {{{{Angelica}}}}.

I wish I had more time to post to all the Angels...but I do have to run..

Good morning, ladies!.

Jan, could you please, repeat my weight of last week, or whoever will be in charge of posting it this week. I'll weigh in next week. I'm packing and heading to the Hearst Castle right. Breakfast at the hotel didn't have a thing I could eat ... everything was carbs, except 1 cold extra hard boiled egg. So I came upstairs and ate one Peanut Butter Crunch Bar.

Making it another day OP!.

Joanne, I'm so happy for you, my girl. Listen when I want meat loaf, I use bell peppers, mushrooms and tomato sauce instead of bread crumbs and Ketchup. Those are NO NOs for me. But I'm glad you know that and is willing to be honest with yourself and us. If you keep reporting to us everything that goes into your mouth on a daily basis, we can coach you and help you lose this weight faster than you have ever done before! One day at a time..

Medifast is so easy and so simple. We are the ones who medicate it and complicate our results ... LOL!.

Hot cocoa.

Choc shake.

Garden salad with 2 T catalina light dressing.

Cranberry mango with 1 packet of crystal light.

5 oz meatloaf (lean gr beef, bread crumbs, ketchup).

3/4 c beets.

Jello light with 1 T cool whip light.

Will have a hot cocoa and brownie for my last 2 meals.....

Also am increasing my water intake again...(as it decreases when I am not OP 100 %)..

Did a Leslie Sansone walking dvd today...so that feels great!.

Drank 16 + glasses of water yesterday, so that is back on track too!....

Now I think this is where I need help.

..and that is keeping all the off plan food out...like cool whip light...ketchup..to name a few....

So, as requested, lay off the extras! It will make a difference too..

So much water. I am impressed. That will motivate me to drink up..

I went to luncheon at my husband's church today. (He's a pastor too). I passed on the lasagna, the weird salad with the coolwhip, the dessert and just had green salad and water. Did great..

Will post the chart next. Not many folks checking in this week. Wish I was travelling!..

Hey Jan and Joanne!!! Good to hear from you two ... I missed you all ... Thanks again to Jan for posting our Weekly Report!!!.

We had a great time on our vacation. We were planing to go to Monterey and Carmel after visiting the Hearst Castle, but we heard that the HWY 1 collapsed into the Ocean and it was going to take 1 month for it to be fixed. We could have gone thru the 101 FWY instead, but the point of out trip was to show my sister the beautiful Coast of California ... So, we've decided to turn back and return home a couple of days earlier. It was nice, because we stopped again at Solvang and that is one of my favorite small towns! I just love it!.

Guys, I'm struggling again on the program ... I just don't know how Janine does it when she travels. I've gained so much on this trip ... this morning I was up to 197. 8 ... I was so shocked when I stepped on the scale this morning that I got on and off so fast ...

It was painful to see those numbers again ... LOL.

It's so hard to drink water while driving ... I tried, but I was looking for bathrooms every few miles. My hubby and sis asked me to stop drinking so much water while driving ... otherwise we would never arrive at our destinations ... lol.

But tomorrow I promise myself and all of you that I'll clean up my act. I need to face reality in order to move forward. If I keep in denial about it, it will be only at my disadvantage..

Jan, my friend, you're doing great! I'm so proud of you ... and I little jealous too, you are almost out of the 90s! Good for you!!!.

Anyway, we stopped at Carl's Jr. last night and I had a protein wrap with bacon and ... I'm so ashamed to say ... but here it goes ... it had 1 onion ring, cheese and ketchup inside ... oh boy, when I want to be bad, I'm really bad ...

I want to be slim more than I want to be bad ....

Joanne, my dear, I'm so proud of you too, you are almost there. Congratulations on losing 4.4 lbs. this week! That's my girl!!! Hey, just get rid of the whipped cream, ketchup and beets ... go to the links below to make better choices of veggies and protein for your "Lean and Green". Hi Angelica,.

Glad you had a nice trip. It is hard to stay on track when you are traveling. I am going to Seattle next weekend, and am already thinking of my medifast meals i'm going to pack. With a plane trip I have to figure that in too...

Hey all - just found you all - posted from parents once - but on the old thread!! Weighed in at 197 (down 1.6) on Wed/Thurs (can't remember which) will be able to begin weighing again on my own scale tomorrow..

Still washing clothes and getting ready for a hectic week - going to be one kid heavy ( a 2 year old) for 5 days while friends are on vacay hoping 5 kids don't do me in!!!..

Tuthclnr...Way to go with advance planning of your trip next week!! That's half the battle..tell yourself you can do this...and you will be surprised at what you can do and how much inner strength you do have! Good luck!.

Angelica my dear...I'm glad you are home safe and sound and sorry to hear that you couldn't explore the coast with your sister. Angelica you know that the 3 some odd pounds is not fat...probably water weight from salty food...YOU CAN DO THIS...YOU HAVE DONE THIS AND YOU WILL GET RIGHT BACK AT IT!! You typed it, and you owned it...and you caught it right away!! I'm proud of you. Don't forget we are human and therefore not perfect.....and as the Beck book says when we have a little slip, we are NOT a failure, but a child of God...and He makes no mistakes. hugssssssssssssssssssssss.

Jan.... Love that you were so strong at the luncheon! Sounds like a lot of yummy food there and you walked by it all and made a legal totaly OP choice. Doesn't that just give you a inner feeling of peace and a huge sense of accomplishment!!!.

Hi my sweets.....

Wanted to drop a quick note before heading out to dinner... Arrived safely and have been having a ball. Got in last Late yesterday and immediately went to tthe docks and caught a panga out to Coronado island.. We had a grand time tagging turtles, sleeping in a tent was not as difficult as lastntime because I'm 80 pounds lighter, oh yea! Staying on track... More on that later, and I'll catch up with the latest posts tonight...

Janine, so glad you got to Mexico and your camping place safely and it sounds like you didn't have any problem getting your Medifast food through customs. Have a great time..

Angelica, we all have difficult spells on Medifast (except Janine lol) but then we refocus and move forward and downward. You can do it and now that you're home you can drink from you gigantic water bottle! You can do this. You will do this with the help of God and our support. So you go girl! Show us how it's done!.

Joanne, you struggle, you own it and then you refocus. I know it's hard for you but you aren't alone in getting stuck. The real victory is that you don't give up. You get back on plan and you don't abandon us. That means so much to me. And you are moving downward once again.

You are an inspiration!.

My goal for Friday is to bReak into the 180's. Very doable. I have to do better on water. Not getting down nearly enough especially on weekends. Will push water this week. Have great day everybody...

Jan.....7 of a # is all you need to break into the 180's...and you have 4 more weigh in's to do it girl!!!! Drink that water!! I know it's a pain when you have to get up two or three times in the night to rid your body of it...but it is worth it! Good luck with the water!.

Morning all!!!.

I'm so glad to be home!.

I had a wonderful trip.... and if you noticed- I lost 3.3 lbs. while I was gone!.

I'll be going back over the posts to read about all that's happened while I was gone... sorry I wasn't able to get back on while at the in laws, but they had a computer virus and her computer crashed!! Oh well... I'm home and I was pretty good while I was gone. Had 2 days that was 4&2, but other than that was totally OP..

I'm gonna go read up on all ya'll now.....

Just some thoughts....

There is no race or time frame to complete our journey...and that is something I need to tell myself ....all the time. If I look at the whole picture, I will find it more important that I finish the journey..and not how many times I had a "blip" or how long it took....

Thanks Joanne!!!! I'm very excited about that too! The last time I was this small was my youngest son's pregnancy!! YIKES!! When I gave birth, I weigh in at 182 lbs... kinda sad if you think about it, but so happy I'm doing something about it now..

You are so right too... it doesn't matter how long the journey takes us and in actuality our journey will never truly end. We will always deal with food because it's a part of life, but that doesn't mean we have to struggle with it. And our little "blips" as you call them are part of the whole learning experience and it's okay..

I think once I finally realized the truth of the last statement, I don't seem to struggle with cheating as much.... sometimes I feel like I'm almost dieing to cheat, but I know it's just a "choice" for the moment not to and that if I ever do fall short, that it's truly not going to be the end of the world. So when those tempting times come, I just tell myself I can always have _______ another time... or that having ________ right this second isn't really that important in the whole scheme of things... okay- enough of my personal experience/insight. It doesn't always work for others, we all have to find our own way and hopefully some of the things that "click" with us will help each other..

JANINEHappy belated birthday!!! St. Patty's day is our wedding anniversary. Just hit the big 1-6. Couldn't celebrate much but it was great to spend the time together.

Joanne: There must be something in the water...I was having trouble staying OP as well. I don't know if it's the injury, the weather, my moods, the full moon....at the end of the day, I can create 1,000 excuses but the fact remains: I didn't stay OP. Until today, that is.

I didn't weigh myself last week because I couldn't stand to look at the scale anymore. I will weigh in this Friday..

Joanne, I'm totally there with you on this one. I have to constantly remind myself that this is a journey and NOT a race. I will get there. Whether it's 120lbs, 130lbs, or 135lbs, my goal is to get there and stay there. And it will happen. It will happen for all of us!!!..

Happy belated anniversary Vilma!! We need to learn celebration doesn't always have to be about food....and you are realising that when you stated "it was great to spend the time together".

Welcome back OP girlfriend!! To me there is nothing that feels better than that....being OP!!! I need to bottle this feeling and bring it out at those times of "blips" in our lives....if I only could...lol. You WILL get there!! Each of us will !!! Just have to remember NOT to beat ourselves up over a poor choice!.

Lisa..I agree with you...we need to use the "blips" as a learning tool. Acknowledge we are not perfect so therefore can not be perfect all the time; that we will mess up from time to time; that it is ok; forgive ourselves and get back to it!.

Hey Girls! Hit town late last night. Fabulous time at the beach. Still hanging on my scale at 200.9. I tell you I need to steal that scale from work!.

Have not been as careful with my 5/1 plan..

I have 1 month till my first triathalon and I'm still falling off my bike. Yikes!.

Evening ladies...

Back at the casita, long day of good times with the family. Walks to town, walks to shopping, walks to the docks.. You get the idea. This evening we took a boat out to an island to catch some rays, then went to this incredible restaurant way out in the boondocks, no electricity and they haul their water in... The best fish I've ever had! It was. Very special occasion as it was my sons 19th birthday..

We didn't climb back into the panga until way past dark, the boat trip back was beautiful under the stars..

Staying OP, drinking lots of water... Thank goodness for bars, we've been without power for most of our trip and it would have been very difficult eat Medifast meals. Not sure I've brought enough bars for the entire trip and will have to count them in the morning..

Hope all is going well for my sisters... This weight loss journey is full of learning for us all. Nite nite..

I did my first C25K work out!! WOO HOO.... finally!! lol I also bought the Zumba for my Wii... didn't someone here buy that? How's it working out for you? Do you like it? I love dancing, but have never tried Zumba so I'm kinda excited... going to pull it out most likely tomorrow and see if I can get through a workout... not going to push though-.

OP day here. Packed up sliced cucumbers and tomatoes with lime and cayenne and 2 bars in the cooler for our day out. Plenty of water being drank and good exercise. Tomorrow heading out fishing for the day and will take bars and veggies again. Loves to you all!..
