First question I got is I am getting ready to start the Medifast Diet on March 24 so help!?!!? Looking forward for any answer. Another question on my mind: I have started medifast for the 4th time with determination. I have only lost 10 lbs. in 14 days. Not really as fast as most, but I am determined to stay on program this time no matter what! I have 100 lbs. to lose exactly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the right answer. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I bump into an decent answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably could answer your Medifast question..

Jhouse that is fantastic!!!!!.

10 lbs in 14 days is really not achievable on many programs but Medifast and if you take one day at a time, get through it, then onto the next you can do this. It's not going to happen over night just like we didn't put it on overnight..

I lost 5 lbs on my first week where I see many loosing 10 up to even 15. But I am not them, and my body will do what it needs, just like you. So instead, I said. WOW, I lost 5 lbs in a Week that is amazing..

Don't sabatoge yourself. Positive thoughts and comments all the time..

Your worth it...

Hey Jhouse4...I am trying this time around not to do that....I think we that have done Medifast with some success, our first time, expect it to be that good on re starts and that just doens't seem to happen. It seems harder to get going and the losses seem slower. I know for me, I was letting the numbers sabotage my efforts for years now. I am trying this time to just be happy with what I get.....and realized that a loss is a loss....and even 2 pounds a week or even one is 104 -52 pounds a year. I hope you and I...can look at it like that. (I lost 12 pounds in my first week, when I first did Medifast 4 years ag0) and I know how bad I want that again..but truth is, it just doesn't seem to come off as fast as the first time.

I wish you the best........I am on the starts of day 3 here.......hoping this is my last restart......I need to clear my mind and just do this..

Have a great day, Hugs,.

Locarbbarb - Do you mind me asking when you ended Medifast last, how much did you lose then, and what happened that you gained the weight back? Just looking into the future for insight into not ending up back where I am now......

Hey smurrf....I started Medifast in 2007, I lost 53 pounds in 2 1/2 months......then we went on vacation, I had high hopes of staying OP..but it didnt' happen.........after that, I just went on and off..on and off.....but I didn't really gain(first time in a long time that I didn't gain it all back and more right away)....but that was a few years ago..over the past few years, I started trying to do Medifast less and less and if I did try, I didnt' stick with it....I haven't gained all 53 back, but I am getting close..

It just seems like I could never get that momentum again.....even though I knew that Medifast really works......which I guess is the reason, I keep coming back to it..

I will say....I think each time you quit and start again, it seems to get harder. So my advice to all is....stick with it.........it is a wonderful program and it really really works if you stick with it..

I have started and lost probably 5 - 10 pounds in that first week each time..but for some reason..I jsut haven't been able to stick with it. (trying to work on the.....I need to take care of me..thing)..I tend to take care of others more than myself.....you know the way most of us wives and mothers are.....

You are doing amazing...I wish you the best.......and I think you will find success with MF. I honestly don't have an answer to why I have such trouble....but I am going to try to remedy that here.....day 3 and pulling to stay strong..

Feel free to message me if you what to chat or have any other questions that I could maybe help you with. Have a great day......

Barb :-)..

An average of 5 pounds a week is really, really good. Medifast says you can expect an average of 2-5 a week..

Here's the thing, I guess, that I'd suggest - adjust your expectations. I know how hard it is to be patient, believe me, but if you have unrealistic expectations you're just going to be disappointed, and disappointment often leads to failure..

Take your total pounds lost, and divide it by the number of weeks you've been on plan. If the resulting number is between 2 and 5 pounds, you're doing better than practically everyone in the world at losing weight!..

I just wanted to let you know that I can relate. I too am a re-committer (second time around) and tomorrow will be my second weigh in. I also have lost about 10 pounds in two weeks. (about 9lbs week one and 1lb this week) I also feel a little "disappointed" because I have been 100% OP and drinking plenty of water. I just think it's our bodies adjusting and that we just have to stay positive and keep motivated because we know Medifast works if we work it!..

10% is awesome!!!! Like the pp said, that won't happen with any othe program!! I've found that when I am feeling down about my loss (I've done Medifast in the past), I go to the success photos. Those are amazing and very inspirational. Go take a peek! Keep your chin up and keep with it....you CAN do it!..
