First of all I need help with a Nutrisystem diet plan -thanks-' :D? Many thanks for any answer or 2. Another question on my mind: 1 Low-GI Carb Serving = 15 g. carbohydrates, 3 g. protein, trace of fat, 80 calories. |

Good question... I dunno what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I bump into an answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably can answer it..

Yeah! I sometimes toast up a small multigrain roll, then spread 1 tbsp of PB and eat that with or before dinner. That's then my lo-gly carb and fat..
However, as discussed in at least one other thread, PB can be a dangerous part of a Nutrisystem plan. For some the addiction can be strong. I know if I'm not careful with it I might start with 1 tbsp, pass out, and in a few hours wake up dazed with 3 or 4 empty jars around me, spoon in each hand.. ... |

PB was my staple for many years...every morning for breakfast, I would have one of those NY Giant-type bagels with as much PB as a jar would hold..
Since NS, under the watchful eye of Mrs. Fuzzie, I literally use a smidgen spread over a half of pita in the morning. So far, it has been enough to remind me of the taste without the extra pounds it would add to my waist each week... |
|
You use a spoon? I always thought PB was a dip for Ritz crackers...
|
|
Yes PB is dangerous. I was good right through Halloween but on Saturday there were some Reeses PB cups left and I decided to reward myself with 1 which quickly became 3, topped off with 3 other pieces of candy. Thank God they were bite size. I am so glad the leftover candy went to work with the wife...

Ohhohhhh... Ritz crackers and PB. Double trouble..
Let me go out on a limb here and guess that you didn't create those before/after pics there on the left dippin Ritz in PB every night!!. I coulda swore I saw Ritz on the "free food" list in the book. Checked again. I was wrong.. ... |

Seriously? Real peanut butter?.
Jif:. Nutrition Facts. Serving Size 2 Tbsp. (32g). Calories 190. Calories from Fat 130. Amount/Serving %DV *. Total Fat 16g. Saturated Fat 3g. Trans Fat 0g. Cholesterol 0mg. Sodium 150mg. Total Carbohydrate 7g. Dietary Fiber 2g. Sugars 3g. Protein 8g. I'm not sure how you can get away with real peanut butter just as a fat serving. It's an entire entree on it's own.. PB2 is 50-something calories. I've been eating the one slice of 35 cal bread, 56 cal of pb2, and a small smear of sugar free strawberry preserves (10 calories.).. |
|
The numbers above for Jif are for a 2 Tbsp serving. That's 6x larger than an Nutrisystem fat serving of PB, which is 1 tsp..
So 1 tsp of Jif is 32 calories, and about 3g of fat. But now that you mention it, I'll probably try that PB2 since 2 tbsp is ok.. (Looks like I wrote "tbsp" in one of my posts above. I meant "tsp" (5ml)). ... |

Sells it now, too. By the jar, even, instead of the 4 jar pack @ Bell Plantation.. BTW, a scoop of the chocolate PB2 is uber in the pancake mix... |
|
And we all know that a teaspoon (tsp) is one LEVEL tsp...not as much PB as you can scoop out with a tsp!..
|
|
The other thing I sort of like about PB2 is you can control the consistency - make it wetter if you're spreading on bread, or dry like spackle if you're just eating it off the knife..
I had 2 tbsp of PB2 mixed up in place of carb tonight - I had a fit and free pizza (gawd, they seem huge compared to Nutrisystem kiddie pizza) which has the same exact calories as the thick crust pizza, more carb, less sodium and fat. I don't like the sauce as much as Nutrisystem pizza sauce, but that may be the lack of salt.. I figured the added carbs in the pizza counted as half, and the extra protein and small amount of carb in the PB2 would balance... |
|
Okay, that makes a whole lot more sense. I guess I didn't realize there were three tsp in a Tbsp. Mine are really flat so it doesn't seem like that much less..
PB2 of course is not Jif, which I love, but it's enough like actual peanut butter that it'll do.. At least you get enough of it so you're not scraping it out to nothing on your bread. I've also heard of people thinning it down and adding a few drops of LS soy to make a sort of thai peanut sauce... |
|
I always thought a serving of PB was a jar?.
Maybe that explains the very large belt I now have for sale... |
|
Whaaat?????? That's just depressing..
Gotta be one killjoy in every bunch... |
|
I do "top it off" a bit sometimes. Not heaping, but slightly rounded. I take the ridiculous spoonful of powder, then bang it on the sides of the jar. Whatever is left is obviously karmically mine.
I'm still eating way much more conservatively than before... |
|
For the past 10-11 months I've treated myself to a PB&J sandwich EVERY NIGHT!.
I hoard a carb and a fat from dinner to do this.. I use 1 Teaspoon of Peanut Butter (a thin schmeer), 1 slice of whole grain bread and 1 teaspoon of sugar-free preserves. This becomes my 7th meal of the day - my midnight snack, if you will. It didn't stop me from losing a ton of weight so I'm sure it'll work for you too. Just don't go overboard... |
