First of all Is it healthy for a 14 year old girl to do the Medifast Diet? Thanks in advance for any response. Second question of mine... Hello everyone,. |

Of course! although you might wanna make sure and wait for someone else here to confirm it as I am not quite sure. Better yet, why don't you call the Medifast guys because they can give you an answer better...

WHAT?? Your page says you lost 11 pounds... I'm not sure you can lose more than that in a week! Rejoice!!!..

I have been on 5&1 the whole time. I don't remember reading anythinga bout the 4 & 2 for people who have more than 50 lbs to lose. Also, if you are having a hard time eating your L&G, try splitting it up throughout the day...

Cat - are you over 70 or diabetic? If so that could be where you heard 4/2..
If neither of those apply, you should follow the 5/1 as written (unless your physician recommends changes).. If followed as written you will see results. Make sure are getting the correct ounces for your lean and greens. Also do not forget your healthy fats!!!! Those are important!!!!!!. Http://www.medifastmedia.com/med/doc...tart_guide.pdf. Here's a link to the quick start guide if you cannot locate yours!. Happy MF-ing!!!!!.. |

Thank you all already for your fast responses!!! I saw the 4 and 2 response in the Dietitian advice forum...and I'm VERY relieved that I dont have to try to do two lean and greens!.
My apologies to everyone, especially NinaStLouis, my original start-up had a typo :-( I was all excited when Nina said I lost 11 lbs, then I went and looked and realized I mistyped my starting weight. I really lost 7 lbs, still not shabby! But that was lost the first day, then nothing for the rest of the week. I'm not discouraged, but I DO want to make sure I'm doing everything I can to lose weight. I dont think I've ever been this optimistic or motivated about a diet!. Thank you all for your encouragement! I'll do my best to make sure my lean and green is correct now... and see if that changes anything.. It's really nice to "meet" you all!!!. Cat.. |

Hi Cat - Just wanted to say welcome to MF! I'm glad to see you so enthusiastic for the program. And as others have said, there's no need to do 4 & 2 unless medically necessary or by choice. I did 5 & 1 for 1 year 7 months..
Best wishes!. Michelle.. |

Hi and Welcome. I also am and have been doing 5 and 1. The only time I did a 4 and 2 program was when I went on vacation last August to Ocean CIty, MD. We exercised A LOT ... swimming, boardwalking, amusements, bicycling, etc. with my 3 small children so I wanted to up my calories a bit. But besides that 5 and 1 always worked well for me...
