My question is Need some advice on a Nutrisystem diet. What not to eat, etc? Hoping for any answer. Another question I got... I have noticed that there are a few doctors posting here. I have a question for you. Did Nutrisystem actively recruit you guys and other doctors to participate ? It would be a great marketing tool to have doctors spreading the word to their patients. Second question is, now that you see results, are you recommending Nutrisystem to your patients ? Just curious... |

I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I got an good answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably can answer it..

Wasn't recruited or compensated. All of my patients and the people in the hospital think that I have a tapeworm or something. They call me the "disappearing doc". I was sick of getting winded tying my shoelaces and feeling like crap, so I joined NS...

I only wish I was recruited or compensated. Although I've got a good start on the weight loss I'm still a big fat a$$ so I haven't started spreading the Nutrisystem gospel just yet. A few people here and there have started to notice. I figure when my patients start noticing a difference I'll let them know what I'm doing...

I'm not a doctor, but I've been to see three of my doctors in the last six months and they all, of course, noticed my weight loss and asked how I did it. One of the three had never heard of NS. The dentist (one of the three docs) asked a whole lot of questions about it, telling me he thought he needed to lose about 20 lbs. He was the only one of the three who really needed to lose any weight...

No compensation....just another overweight guy trying to get back to better health..
I have had many staff and patients comment. I just thank them for the compliment, but have only discussed it with a few of the staff that have asked. I am outgoing with my patients, but usually have boundaries to my personal life. I am an orthopaedic surgeon, and many of my patients need to lose weight to relieve stress on their arthritic joints. If asked, I would certainly recommend Nutrisystem to any one of them wanting to make a lifestyle change. It sure is working for me without the hassles of a "diet"... |

I doubt NS.
Knows. I'm a physician. My userid obviously has "dr" in it, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. It is a challenge for me to eat so frequently during the day and to drink so much water...there are no breaks built in to allow it, obviously. So far I've managed ok, though I almost got caught last week, being stuck at the hospital and hadn't brought food for dinner. But things improved and I got to dash home for my Nutrisystem entree. I've told a few people about how I'm doing it, but I still have a ways to go and so haven't gotten a lot of questions yet. One thing I have been thinking about is how the new administration will approach health care in the US. Everybody talks about obesity in kids and adults, but there doesn't seem to be any actual change..just gnashing of teeth and wringing of hands. I think we should tax junk food. It's cheaper for most people to buy pure garbage than it is to buy fresh fruit and veggies. That just seems backwards... |
