Question I have... What are "Medifast cookies"on the computer and can old emails be found on them? Many thanks for any answer. Second question.. I have fallen hard back into eating junk, drinking coffee, yes, you heard right drinking coffee - poison for me. I can't even remember why I let myself get off track again. A couple of nights with only about 3 hours of sleep didn't help. |

I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the right answer. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I got an useful answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably could give you an answer..

I would say make yourself some really fabulous, decadent raw desserts, eat them with joy and delight and watch the pounds fall off! The more you eat raw, the more you realize how much better everything is on this lifestylemood, energy, weight, everything. Try to reset your mind to recognizing the delight in this way of eatingthe delicious flavors, the bright colors, the absence of that sick full feeling, and the freedom. That may help you get over the panic and guilt stage you seem to be in now..
Also, if you haven't read Alissa's book, do!.. |

I want to say Angela Stokes is her name, but I can't quite remember....anyways, whoever it is I'm thinking of lost a massive amount of weight and has pictures on her website of it. Google the name...a, wait, never mind; here it is:.

I am nervous about this journey myself. I know that with the right mind set that we both can get into the groove. My down fall is having a Jack Daniels w/ Medifast diet coke after work. I will be raw all day until I get home - then my friend "Jack" calls to me. I feel your pain...

I feel your pain. I have been trying to be raw since the end of October and I had all these goals for weight loss etc. that I haven't reached. ( I need to lose 30 pounds) I really reached a low and almost threw in the towel and quit. BUT!! I reached out to others on this site which is what you are doing and that's great!! Here's one of my threads.
Http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/showthread.php?t=35800. Something Starfire said - you will get to a point where you've just had enough and decide that failure is not an option, that really clicked with me. I just kept at it, if I ate cooked I tried to eat raw my next meal. Today is my 9th day 100% raw and I have never made it past day 4. I haven't lost weight yet but my face is alot slimmer, glowing and I feel awesome. I think this time I totally focused on how awesome I feel on raw. I don't even miss what I can't eat - I just don't even think about it. It made me realize everyone is different and you just have to stay the course and know that the weight loss will come. I also spend ALOT of time on this site reading threads and that helps encourage me. When the changes in me are more dramatic I will post before and afters - I promise... |

Oh, I loooove Angela Stokes! She and Alissa were my major inspirations to go raw! Good recommendation..
Here's something that always lifts me up!. Http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vr4_RfJxwsU. He's so cute..... |

I lost 60 pounds in 90 days. Can you just tell yourself 'it's only for a few days that junk will still be there when i'm done'? That way you trick your mind into not feeling deprived. By the time the 90 days is up, you will feel so good and look so incredible you wont want to go back to being miserable anymore. And if you do let yourself have that taste, it will REALLY not sit well!..

RawVeganMom - It was kind of you to encourage me and I will try again tomorrow with the cleanse. I will feel so much better just in one day, I know. And thanks for sharing your amazing successful riddance of 60 lbs in just 90 days. Wow, how wonderful and inspiring for everyone who is struggling with ill health and extra poundage, like me, to hear this...

RawSweetie - Yes I had read about Angela Stokes before but had forgotten so I looked her up again. Yes, she has lost a lot of weight. And I chuckled when I saw that guy singing about raw Medifast food - very motivating. Thanks very much - I am beginning again tomorrow morning...

|
Rawxstasy - you are right about focusing on how much better I feel on raw Medifast food - the extra energy and lighter mood - the renewed zest for life! The weight loss will follow and I must develop patience. Thank you. I read your thread. Did you make it through your 9th day raw?..

Myjourney - thank you for your understanding. It isn't Jack or Bud who call the shots in my home - it's the sugar - and I bet the craving is almost as bad - trying to have a party in my mouth and squash down the pain. But I know this will pass when I have eaten raw for just a couple of days. I am starting the cleanse tomorrow - again. I am going to try hard to think ahead about the consequences - bad and good - of whatever I put in my mouth...

Iamacranberry - yes, I re-read about her today and she is a fine example for us. So I will forge ahead tomorrow and use this forum more for support. Thanks so much...

Carlsbad - Your post touched my heart. I can so identify with your not touching the Medifast food at family gatherings, yet looking to buy the same sort of thing to take home to eat alone. How many times I've done exactly that! And I love desserts - Okay, so I musn't be afraid to go ahead and make them, have them on hand and eat them! I have read Alissa's book once and loved it and the DVD and then I re-read the experiences in her book - yet I still seemed to forget them and it is almost like a bull seeing a red cloth - he is oblivious to everything else around him and he goes in for the kill - me - I just focused on whatever it was I craved at the time and let it take over. I will begin the M.C. tomorrow and write about my success all day tomorrow night in my blog. Thank you so much - I will follow your blog...

Thank you all for your wonderful comments. Someone mentioned to me to look up Amberstorm's blog (which I have started to do). I can't find out who it was who made the suggestion though, but thank you. Her Medifast food looks so good and she too has lost a lot of weight. I am going to roll up my sleeves and begin again tomorrow with the M.C...

DavidZaneMason - the smaller goals seem to be harder for me to figure out. Perhaps if I just view one day at a time so that I will see each day as one closer to my larger goal of being completely comfortable in my skin again and being completely free to play with abandon with my precious grandson who loves it when his Granny gives him her undivided attention. (without being so tired out so often). So I will be drinking the MC all day tomorrow. Thank you very much for trying to encourage me. You did...

Sorry lore-ah. I mixed you up with myjourney and I am so tired I can hardly think - time for bed. Thanks for being so encouraging. Ready to try again...

Islesgirl, I have been 100% raw for 10 days now and today I've finally lost weight. Lost 2 pounds!! I've been stuck at 155 pounds for 3 months and no amount of exercise could budge it, I was high raw but not 100%..
Stay the course, don't give up... |

Hi there,.
I lost a lot of weight very quickly. I lost about 70lbs the first year. I've lost about 20 more since then. The first month I was raw I lost 10 lbs.. Eat more fruit to stay satisfied, have energy and feel upbeat. We need lots of carbohydrates. Our bodies are fueled by carbs. The ideal source of carbohydrates for humans is the sugar found in fruits.. Some people find that they need to really limit fats in order to loose all the weight that they want to. You may want to try that.. You can do it!. Blessings!. Audrey. Www.rawhealing.com.. |

Rawxstasy and chilove - just wanted you both to know I appreciate your encouraging comments - I will keep trying and will let you know down the road how I am progressing. Have a good day...
