First off, What is wrong with the Medifast Diet? Looking forward for any response. My other question... I'm kind of nervous my order is on the way and I've already tried every diet known to man at one point or another! I'm honestly afraid of failure before I've even begun. I need this to work. I've just had a baby and I need to be healthy for him it's not just about me any more. Also, I want more children and had a hard/dangerous pregnancy because of my weight! Any encouragement and tips on getting started would be greatly appreciated! I've got about 100 pounds to lose and I'd love to do that in a year or less am I setting myself up for disappointment?!.. |

That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the right answer. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I got an answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably can help you..

You will make this work! I am 12 days OP and also have 100+ to lose and this is the program and support that will make that work. Give yourself a leg up and start drinking your water....
I was glad I started about a week before because it also filled me up and I was cutting down on consumption even before the Medifast order arrived.. You will succeed!.. |

I was once in your shoes.... I had tried every diet in the world, some 2 and 3 times. I was researching weightloss surgery when I found medifast. when I ordered my first month the box sat unopened for 3 days. I read every post I could, took notes, copied recipes, then began my journey......
I have lost over 100 lbs.... kept it off for over 3 years, all off, never gained any back, I maintained at 30 lbs overweight, then came back to finish the last 30, which is now 22 lbs.. It can be done... believe in yourself, take it one day at a time, one meal at a time,. All comes down to how badly you want to lose the weight and what you are willing to do to get it off... weightloss begins in our minds, not in our mouths. It is the words we feed ourselves each day. PUSH for it, WORK the program and it will work. it takes work. it is hard but so is being morbidly obese. PICK YOUR HARD. If you Pick medifast, you will never be sorry that you did... Medifast gave me back my life. It gave me life that food took away.. Take care,. Kay.. |

You can do this. I have lost 100 it took me 13 months. Then I took a forced break because of family issues but I am back and I will lose the the last 40 if not more...

OK, you are motivated, but lacking some confidence about your ability to do this. Perfectly normal. You need some success to feel better about the process, and what works best for me is setting small goals. Assume you will follow the plan 99% of the time, you should have no trouble losing 10 pounds per month, so set you first goal for 10# by Valentine's Day! You will meet that, and maybe lose much sooner than a month. WIN! Then set another goal. Each goal you meet will help you have more confidence that you can succeed...

I started this feeling that I have too much weight to lose alone I don't feel aone right now and I can't wait for my first order to arrive! I love the small goals too 10 pounds by valentines!!!! That sounds great! How do you guys put up the cute weight trackers?..

Heck ya you can lose 100lbs in a year! Just take 10 at a time, and it will fly off before you know it.
!. As for the ticker-you record your weight under MY PLAN, then it will show up at the bottom left hand corner of your home page, and gives an option to "create ticker". Follow those steps, then copy and paste the link under discussion boards-edit/profile settings. Then it should be there! And a FYI-you have to make a new one every week, it won't do it automatically... |

Welcome! Work the plan, and it will work for you! Set mini goals! Use the forums, there are SO many helpful and supportive people here, it's what keeps me going...
