I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the answer to your question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I find an anything. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably could help you..

The Nutrisystem food is easy the added groceries, not so much. I get frozen broccoli & frozen cauliflower for my two veggies for dinner. Lunch is a lot of food if you can eat a lot of mixed greens with a fat free dressing. Add to that a slice of whole wheat bread with a thin slice of ham on top with mustard. Put that together with the Nutrisystem lunch food and it fills the hole. For the morning protein snack I usually have a hard boiled egg.
The rest should be pretty obvious. Anyway, that's what I do. Just start and you will develop your own program. Drink all the water and walk. You'll pee and fart a lot but that comes with the program.. |

I'm just on day 3, but it helps to look at the grocery items, go out and buy a few, then sit down and plan out tomorrow. Write in your book what you are going to eat so you know what to prepare..
I dunno if that helps or not. But I have little time to prepare my add ons in the morning. I have to do it the night before... |

Be sure to count and make sure you got all your food!.
Definitely follow the planner and write everything down for the first month or so. Soon you'll be able to grab the day's food in 5 minutes as you head out the door... |
|
Ain't no trick!.
Read the materials, eat ALL the food (including add-ins), drink ALL the water (or more), and get ready to buy smaller clothes... |

Guys, there is no trick. Just follow the plan. For veg you can have more than broc and caulif. Have you considered green beans, brus sprouts, asparagus, squash, zuc.? There are more than just two veg that you can have. And to the guy fixing the ham sandwich for lunch....where the heck did you see that in the plan? No add on carbs for lunch, and no ham. Come on, if you want to lose weight, stick with the plan. If you are just starting, it's way too early to start getting creative...

Spaghetti squash, baby spinach as salad, and raw sugar-snap peas with a squirt of ICBINB are my current favorite veggies..
Breakfast I always do 4 oz orange juice with high pulp, 8 oz skim milk, two pieces of healthy life toast either with ICBINB and garlic powder or sugar free preserves (occasionally a mini whole wheat bagel), and a bar or pastry on weekdays, eggs or pancakes on weekends.. Morning snack is always light string cheese and some flavor of sugar-free applesauce.. Lunch is one of the microwave buckets, I avoid the tomato-based ones. I just got the idea to do the boil and sit lunches in advance and take them to work in twist-top bowls. Also I will take the red beans and rice envelope out of the box and throw it in my bag...real easy to heat up in the microwave and pour into my empty salad bowl. Almost always spinach for salad, occasionally 1/2 banana instead. I use liquid wishbone spray on leaves, balsamic or red wine.. I eat my afternoon snack on the way home in the car, usually a cookie or a mint crunch bar, sometimes soy chips.. Dinner is completely random, though I have about six rotating favorites, and a specific way to prepare them.. Dessert is right before bed because I still have to watch myself wanting to eat before sleep. If I have the dessert I'm fine. If I stay up another four hours I tend to snack again, though I try to hold it to deli meat and a couple of pita or sesame chips.. I occasionally miss taco bell, and make up for it by adding pita chips as a carb into the taco dinner. I also will sometimes put nacho crisps concave side up on a plate, sprinkle a pinch of WW mexican cheese over them, microwave for 20 seconds then add 1/2 tsp of light sour cream... |

There is no trick. Don't cheat yourself. Follow the guide 100% and enjoy the weight loss and lifestyle change..
It's kind of tough at the beginning but once you start seeing the change, you will become more motivated. Just don't look for any shortcuts. We didn't get fat in a month so we can't lose the weight in a month.. Stick to it no matter what... |
|
You can have carbs at lunch time if you move them from Breakfast or dinner. I occasionally throw together a turkey, tuna, or lowfat lunchmeat sandwich (protein). Actually 1/2 sandwich on wheat or rye. And if you use mayo, check off your fat in the evening...

Read all the materials closely. Understand the add-ins and make a plan to ensure you use them correctly..
My advice is to follow the plan in detail for the first 30 - 60 days. Eat everything you are suppose to and nothing you aren't.. I think the mistake many people make is they either don't eat all the foods (including add-ins) thinking they are helping themselves or they eat too much. Both are negative to losing weight.. The plan works...You just need to follow it.. You also should think of this as a life-style change not a diet. You will need to do the lessons you learn while using Nutrisystem foods to prepare you for life after NS.. When people ask me about my weight loss, I tell them this isn't magic. Just stop putting as much in your pie hole and move around a bit. Nutrisystem foods just make it easier to do the first part.. Best of Luck,. Clark. BTW...DRINK YOUR WATER!.. |
|
There definitely isn't a trick. If I can lose weight like this....anyone can..
Good luck... |
|
To quote Nike...Just Do It...follow the plan, drink the water, exercise, drink more water, check the Team Discussion Board, drink more water, add fresh veggies and fruit (according to the plan) and drink more water...Good Luck!.
OH the trick is Drink More Water..... |

I wanna know what the trick is with the breakfast bars. I need to magically convert them into scrambled eggs. I dunno what I was thinking when I ordered them. Nutrisystem Scrambled Eggs with Morningstar breakfast patties for protein is now my breakfast of choice. I just can't bring myself to eat these bars and I've got a crapload of them...
|
|
Send them back and have them send you the Scrambled Eggs. Simple...
|
|
I called with 7 Herb Snack Mixes that I wanted to exchange....they did it for free as a one time courtesy and let me keep the ones I already had..
Maybe they will do that for him as well... |
|
They did take the bars back. I had to pay shipping, but they are covering the shipping for the new stuff. I thought I was going to have to eat all those bars...
|
|
I have to travel alot with my job, so I keep a few of the bars on my bag should I not be somewhere where I can get a salad or heat up my nutrifood...The bars are ok as an occasional substitute...
